Who Am I?

When I first did the six sketches for my project, I planned to sketch something that related to my culture in Vietnam, so I could link those sketches to show who I am. After I drew the sketches, everything turned black, I looked and nothing, nothing could explain who I am in those culture sketches. I was panic because I hadn't had any ideas to draw. Then, I learned the Revelation and I saw the word "water." Everything changed and I started to draw unconsciously. God helped me, I am blessed. I did this artwork to express what I am thinking of this world right now and to show who I am. We, the human, are the water and we are trapped in this world. We are covered by the mountains, on top of us in the sun and below us is hell. We can't do anything to escape this cruel world except believing in God. I am a believer, I believe in God.

In this artwork, I used invented texture on the mountains, the symbols on the mountains just came out and I didn't even know what it meant. Tint is my value; I added a lot of white after I colored the sea with blue. Square tetrad theme is my color palette because I chose yellow, blue and pink. My artwork also contains three elements which are form, shape and line. The water is rhythm in harmony which is form, the mountains are two dimensional and measure for line, the measure appears at the bottom on the left mountain.
